About the Authors

In 2023, the students in the University of Guelph's Experimental and Comparative Animal Physiology (ZOO*4170) class were tasked with writing a popular science article about a recent peer-reviewed paper in the animal physiology field. The students chose papers that sparked their interest and curiosity for animal physiology, published in top-tier journals, such as the Journal of Experimental Biology, Journal of Comparative Physiology B, Physiological and Biochemical Zoology, Conservation Physiology, and the Journal of Experimental Zoology A. ​
